Talk about your history as a developer in the Mac Community

LISTENER COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS

I'm going to star by playing and excerpt of an interview you and Ray did on Podcast Solutions with Michael Gohagen on May 11th of 2005. http://www.podcastsolutions.com/archives/2005/05/11/interview-ipodderx-team/

This is important because a bit over one moth later Version 4.9 of iTunes, was released on June 28, 2005, it added built-in support for podcasting. It allows users to subscribe to podcasts in the iTunes Music Store or by entering the RSS feed URL. All of these things were already being done by applicaitons like iPodderX but this was a huge moment in podcating history and in the history of iPodderX

VICTOR PLAYS PIECE 4:29SECONDS

Talk about how iPodderX came to be

    • What happened after iTunes 4.9 got into podcasting?
    • iPodderX was forced to change it's name to Transistr. You came out with the new name on Feb 1st 2006 after holding a contest where people got to pick the name. What can you tell us about those event?
    • Where do you feel podcasting is going today. As an early pioneer developer for podcasting do you believe that bringing on podcast into itunes has helped or hurt podcasting?
    • I have gotten use to iTunes "one size fits all solution to catching podcast but I miss efficiency and flexibility of iPodderX. Will there be a new Transistr product built ? I for one hope it will and would happily pay you again for it.

LISTENER COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS

**Talk about WWDC and what you think will be announced etc.

***My big prediction as made earlier during the Maccast loop is that Apple is going to light the fire again on
mac gaming. Offer new SDK's to developers and support and encourage a ramp up in these products that better fit
the new hardware as well as Leopard architecture. I know it's a way out there prediction but if I'm gonna guess
I might as well be wild.

  • Other predictions for me.
      • No iPhone SDK yet but it will be mentioned
      • New iMac with Santa Rosa chipset and Ndivia cards will come out during the week (likely Tuesday)
      • As reported on the Mac Observer http://www.macobserver.com/article/2007/06/07.6.shtml Apple will be replacing the HFS+ file system with Sun's ZFS file system. AS leaaked by Sun CEO Jonathan Schwartz revealed the news during a presentation in Washington D.C. on Wednesday, according to CNET News.
